Demo work begins for new Chick-fil-A on Fairburn Road

The Chick-fil-A location on Fairburn Road was demolished on Tuesday in preparation for a brand new Chick-fil-A to be built on the same site. The restaurant closed on Feb. 17. The entire demolition and rebuild for the location should be done sometime in July, said Mike Moore, operator of the Fairburn Road and Highway 5 Chick-fil-A stores. The store will be four times bigger than its previous size, resembling the store in Aker's Mill near Cumberland Mall, which was recently remodeled. The new store should be easier to access, Moore said.
