The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Flowers Baking Co. recruit 33 employees to work in Villa Rica.

The recruiting sessions will be held on Friday, July 21, from 7:30-9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. at Flowers Baking Co. located at 134 Doyle McCain Drive in Villa Rica. GDOL staff will be on site to assist applicants.

The company is recruiting checker loaders, production technicians, manufacturing engineers and manufacturing helpers.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), is required.

Applicants for the production technician and manufacturing engineer positions are required to have at least two years of related experience. The employer also prefers that they have a maintenance or heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) certification.

Salaries for the checker loaders begin at $15.15 an hour, $17.30 an hour for the production technicians, $20.10 an hour for the manufacturing engineers and $13.50 an hour for the manufacturing helpers.
