DOUGLAS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Purchasing Department INVITATION TO BID Solicitation No. 18-002 01/31/2018 FY 2018 COUNTYWIDE SHOULDER MAINTENANCE The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for tractor mowing and trimming operations within the mowing limits of County Routes in a safe, effective and timely manner. The approximate extent and character of the work is generally described as follows: Three (3) cycles of right-of-way mowing on approximately 260 miles of County roadways with the option to add or remove cycles as final budget dictates, which includes furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment for mowing complete including brush/slope trimming. All information for interested bidders may be obtained at the office of the Douglas County Purchasing Director, located on the third floor of the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Georgia or on the Douglas County website, under the Purchasing Department. Sealed bids in response to this Invitation will be sent to: Douglas County Board of Commissioners Bill Peacock - Purchasing Director 3rd Floor 8700 Hospital Drive Douglasville, Georgia 30134 The Bid Due Date is Friday, March 02, 2017 no later than 2:00 pm ET. Each response should be marked on the outside of the envelope with: “Bid – FY 2018 Countywide Shoulder Maintenance – Solicitation No. 18-002, March 02, 2018”. One (1) unbound original and five (5) copies Bids may be mailed or personally delivered to the Purchasing Department and the envelope should bear on the outside, the name and address of the Bidder, and their License Number and classification for the State in which the project is located (if applicable.) If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in another envelope with the notation “BID ENCLOSED”. Douglas County reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any and all Bids, to evaluate Bids, to accept portions of any Bids and to accept any Bid, which in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to add to or delete from the contract after the contract has been awarded. No Bid will be received or accepted after the above specified date and time of the Bid opening. Bids submitted after the designated date and time will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the Bidder. No Bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the Bid opening and all Bids shall remain firm during this period. Once the contract has been awarded and signed the bid prices shall be valid for a period of one (1) year. Ad Dates: 1/31, 2/7, 2/14 & 2/21; 2018
