Authorities are looking for a suspect who burglarized a truck parts business on Westfork Boulevard in Lithia Springs.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a man was captured on video breaking into Great American Inc. at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Entry was made by breaking the glass of the front door, then reaching through the door and unlocking it. Once inside, he used a screw driver to pry open the cash registers and removed cash.

Howell. Howell described the suspect as a large-framed male wearing a ski mask and jacket.
There were actually several burglaries and a theft that night in the same area and the man is also a suspect in those crimes. The businesses targeted include an attorney’s office, an optometrist’s office and another auto parts business.
“Some of them they didn’t take anything,” Howell said. “Some of them, they took money. Some of them, they just took whatever they could pick up.”
The value of the items stolen is “a couple of hundred dollars,” he said.

Authorities are also looking for a man who stole an iPhone from a woman at the Shell gas station on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs. The incident reportedly occurred Wednesday between 3:30 and 4 p.m. The suspect apparently walked up to the victim and asked to use her cellphone.
When she handed him the phone, he ran into Crestmark Apartments behind Chick-fil-A, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect’s image was captured on the store’s video. He is described as being 16 to 20 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 140 pounds.
The suspect reportedly has tattoos on his hands of a dollar sign and possibly the initials “TW.” He possibly lives inside the Crestmark apartment complex or knows someone who does.
