That question is also on the mind of property owner Larry Jackson as well, as he is wanting to sell the property. According to James Worthington, director of developmental services for Douglas County County, the driveway on Highway 5 is vacant property and at this time, there is not a planned development for the location. The grading was done at the entrance by the owner with hopes that it would help to sell the property, which is zoned CNC commercial. Jackson, who owns Jackson Paving, said he has the contract to build an additional lane into the Andersen Windows project on Bright Star Road and needs 10,000 yards of dirt for the job. He said that Captain D's looked at the property, but he didn't think they wanted to be that far from Interstate 20.
