Recently, Douglasville's Sweetwater Camera Club members photographed the rare Super Blue Blood Moon on Jan. 30 and 31.

The group headed to Sweetwater Creek State Park and a Mableton location to get the perfect view of the Super Moon. While waiting for the moon members captured a duck splashing in the water and an eagle flying by. There is also a snow-view picture at Sweetwater taken by member Randy Cordell a few weeks before the Super Moon.

This lunar eclipse has not happened since 1866. It was a special "sweet" treat for these photographers.
