Douglas County deputies arrested a man Tuesday morning in Winston on Post Road who was wanted by authorities in Fulton County.

During a traffic stop shortly before 8 a.m., a Douglas County deputy pulled over a vehicle. During the stop, Brandon King, 27, began to flee on foot from the deputy.

"He's not an escaped inmate, he just had warrants on him," Capt. Jamie Harrell said. "We set up a perimeter and put up our drone, put deputies in the area, and they caught him a short time later."

King was in custody at the Douglas County jail as of Tuesday afternoon. Information about the warrants on King in Fulton County were not made available to the Sentinel Tuesday before press time.
