The fifth annual Festival of Trees is on display at the Douglas County Courthouse through Dec. 8.

The Festival of Trees features full-sized and miniature Christmas trees and wreaths provided by individuals, organizations and businesses to benefit a local charity. Last year's Festival of Trees benefited Children's Voice: Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). This year, proceeds from the silent auction will benefit The Pantry and their project of providing food to the hungry.

The beautiful array of Christmas decorations will be sold through a silent auction beginning Monday, Dec. 4 and ending promptly at noon on Friday, Dec. 8, according to county spokesman Rick Martin.

Guests and individuals interested in viewing or bidding on the trees and wreaths can go to the third floor of the Douglas County Courthouse during regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The courthouse is located at 8700 Hospital Dr. Admission is free and the public is invited.
