Lithia Springs Elementary School was the recipient of a generous donation made by Rosehill Property Owners Association (POA). Rosehill POA is a senior development community located in Lithia Springs. Pictured are Linda Jones, left, with LSES Principal William Marchant and Winiford Pippins.

Jones, a Douglas County M.A.T.C.H. Mentor and Rosehill resident, lead this holiday drive, in lieu of the Rosehill POA annual holiday party. With the support of all the residents of Rosehill POA senior development, LSES will be able to provide their students with coats, mittens, hats, socks, undergarments, shirts and sneakers.

Jones has been a mentor at Lithia Springs Elementary for the past three years. She has made a positive impact in the lives of two elementary school students and continues to impact the lives of many more through her desire to help families in need. Her leadership will allow students to stay warm during this holiday season. Jones said she believes mentoring can yield positive results in the lives of students. She encourages the public to not wait until Christmas to be generous, instead be generous year-long, and consider being a mentor.
