Charles Franklin “Charlie” Henderson, age 51, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away April 20, 2017. He was born in Douglasville, Georgia on March 28, 1966, the son of Charles Wayne Henderson and the late Mary Louise Pritchett Henderson. Charlie graduated from South Cobb High School in 1984 and became a Commercial Driver’s License Instructor for Cobb County Board of Education. He was a Baptist by faith.

Charlie married the love of his life, Stacey Lynn Ray, twenty-four years ago. It has been said that whenever you say his name you would automatically say Stacey’s name as well because they were inseparable! Charlie was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing—and virtually anything to do with the mountains. He also had a love for Bar-be-que. He would create his own sauces and sample different meats with his specialty being brisket. Charlie was always smiling and was very quick-witted.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Stacey Lynn Ray Henderson of Lithia Springs, Georgia; his father and step-mother: Wayne and Barbara Henderson of Sandy Springs, Georgia; and his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Debbie Henderson of Hiram, Georgia.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Bryan Henderson.

A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 22, 2017 between noon and 2 p.m.

In accordance with Charlie’s wish, his body has been cremated.
