Mr. Jack Frost Holder, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was born in Jackson County, Georgia, on February 3, 1934, the son of the late Ernest Holder and the late Ola Mae Phillips Holder. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver and a Christian. He was a member of the Amvets Post 118 in Lithia Springs and a member of the American Legion Post 145 in Douglasville.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his children: Sylvia Williams and Richard Lambert.
Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Sylvia Nix Holder of Douglasville; grandchildren: Sabrina Maier and her husband, Tommy of Clayton, NC, Ashley Williams of Daytona, FL, and Austin Gibson of Douglasville, GA; sister: Irene Hackett; brother and sister-in-law: Byron and Dorothy Holder; daughter-in-law: Chris Lambert; great grandchildren: Johnny Maier, Wolfgang Maier, Rylie Ferebee, Joshua Ferebee, and Caleb Michael Shumake.
The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 15, 2018, beginning at 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow the visitation in Hightower’s Chapel at 2 p.m.. with Reverend Josh Agan officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
