James “Rodney” Tripp, age 56, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born in Austell, Georgia on December 24, 1960, the son of Grace Tucker Tripp and the late Earl Tripp. He was a graduate of Lithia Springs High School. He was a truck driver and a member of Faith Christian Fellowship. Rodney loved trucks, cars, and guns. He was talented in carpentry and masonry.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: James & Rebekah Tripp of Temple, Georgia, Bobby Tripp and Jonathan Tripp, both of Lithia Springs, Georgia; mother: Grace Tucker Tripp of Lithia Springs, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law: David & Julie Tripp of Lithia Springs; 3 grandchildren: Myleigh Tripp, Paige Tripp, and Zoey Tripp.

The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 22, 2017 beginning at 5 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tommy J. Watt officiating.

In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated following the service.
