John David Reynolds, age 78, of Cumming, GA. passed on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

John was born April 17, 1939 in Douglasville, Georgia to Eunice Melvina Hall Reynolds and James Dilmus Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds was a Deputy Sheriff for Fulton County, serving 34 years. He loved fishing and his favorite pastime was long drives in the mountains with family. His true passion was spending time with his two grandsons, Travis golfing and Camden on robotics. He also enjoyed watching cowboy movies with John Wayne and spending time with his dogs Midnight and Pretty Lady. John always played the lottery and bought scratch offs for everyone who came to family events. He was of the Baptist Faith.

John was preceded in death by his father, James Dilmus Reynolds; mother, Eunice Melvina Hall Reynolds; brother, Terry Reynolds and brother, Gary Reynolds.

John is survived by his wife, Patsy Reynolds; daughter, Dawn Reynolds; daughter, Denise (Cameron) Roe; son, David Reynolds; sister, Linda Wheeler; grandsons, Travis Roe and Camden Roe.

The family received friends Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8p.m. at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home. Funeral services for John will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest following the services at Rosehaven Cemetery, 8640 Rose Ave., Douglasville, GA. 30134.
