Mrs. Margaret “MeMe” Ruth Malcolm Conner Turner, age 96, of Douglasville, GA went to be with her Lord and loved ones Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born August 9, 1921 in Atlanta, GA and is the last of nine children of a close knit family. From her earliest youth, she was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. She served in organizations as Chaplain. Her lifelong love of and actively dancing into her 90’s inspires many. She is famous for her positive attitude, beautiful smile and giving, loving, warm heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joel W. Conner and her parents Thomas Joseph and Mary Tallulah (Nance) Malcolm.
She is survived by her daughters Cathy (David) Bernard and Judy (Mike) Brown; grandchildren Angela (Kevin) Kelley, Tre (Kristi) Anderson, Wesley (Lindsay) Anderson,
Ashley (Danny) Camp, Whitney (Michael) Marshall, Selleck (Jody) Anderson, Jodi (Jeff) Edge and Missi Gray; twenty-one great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10 am until 12 noon. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow directly at the Rose Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or food, donations may be made in MeMe’s honor to a fund established for her two year old precious great-grandson, Noah Marshall. Noah was born with Microtia (underdeveloped ears). Donations will help fund costly surgery to construct new Ears For Noah.
