Mrs. Ossie Arizonia Williams Dobbs, age 86, of Winston, Georgia, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017. A native of Douglas County, she was born August 11, 1931 to the late Arthur and Katie Hutcherson Williams, Sr. Mrs. Dobbs was the mother of nine children and a pillar in the community. She was a 70-year member of Old Mountain Top Baptist Church, and was a charter member of The Marvelous Light Christian Ministries since 2002.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Butler; a daughter, Gennie “Tootie” Marcile Dobbs; and eleven siblings.
Mrs. Dobbs is survived by her children, Gwendolyn Moody, Walter A. (Queen) Dobbs, Priscilla A. Blue, Vanessa L. Dobbs, Perry L. Dobbs, William N. Dobbs, James A. Dobbs, and Teressa F. Dobbs; a brother, James R. (Catherine) Williams; grandchildren, Karen (Rafael) Carapia, Tobars (Leslie) Dobbs, Jon-Kelcy (Ty) Stephens, Brandi Sparks, Jermaine Stephens, Takiyah (Christopher) Douse, Caleb Boykin and Dakota Dobbs; great-grandchildren, Solomon, Sariah, Cholé, and Jermiah; dear friends, Mrs. Georgia H. Danley and Mrs. Ruthel Sparks; as well as many other family members and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3 p.m. at The Marvelous Light Christian Ministries, 2160 Lee Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122, with Pastor James Chandler officiating.
