Thomas Larry Morris, age 75, of Douglasville passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. He was born in Douglasville, Georgia on May 22, 1941 to the late William H. Morris and Maude Cochran Morris. Larry graduated from Douglas County High School, served in the Naval Air Reserves. He was the co-owner, with his brother Johnny, of Morris Tire Company and he retired in 2004. He loved watching his son Brad play baseball from little league all the way through college. Larry loved the beach, but most of all he was a loving husband, dad, papa and friend. 

Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janice Camp Morris; son: Brad Morris and wife, Kristen; grandchildren: Jake Morris, Ellie Morris, Ada Morris; sister-in-law: Margy Morris; 1 niece, 4 nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Morris and Neal Morris. 

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Douglasville First United Methodist Church with Reverend Heather Jallad, Reverend Brett DeHart and Reverend Shari Rates officiating. Interment will follow in Douglasville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jay Morris, Jimmy Morris, Jeff Morris, Charles DePriest, William Morris, Bart Austin, Bret Austin and Brad Ethridge.

The family received friends Saturday, March 18, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
