Coweta County Master Gardeners are getting ready to “deck your halls” with handmade fresh evergreen wreaths, swags and custom bows. Yes, plastic wreaths last forever, but this year why not decorate your home in classic elegance with these fragrant and natural additions. A 20-inch finished wreath with bow is $20 and a 24-inch finished wreath with bow is $35. Swags are approximately 36 inches and sell for $20. You may choose your bow on the day of pick up. To purchase a wreath, stop by Market Day on the Square in downtown Newnan on Saturday, December 5th. You may also order ahead by November 16th by mailing your order to: CCMG P.O. Box 188 Grantville, GA 30220-0188 Please make your check payable to Coweta County 4H Council. You just simply send us a note with your order. (We need your name, address, phone number, size wreath and/or swag, and the day you would like to pick up your wreath.) While supplies last you may also choose to walk in and pick up a wreath. All pick ups will be at the Coweta County Fairgrounds Ag building at 275 Pine Road in Newnan from 10 AM to 4 PM during the week of November 30- December 5. Call ahead at 770-254-2620 to find out availability. All proceeds from the sale help support the Coweta County Master Gardener Association and local University of Georgia Extension program projects such as 4-H, the operation of an educational greenhouse and the Master Gardener Scholarship Fund for local students. The Association is a volunteer organization that promotes the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension programs. Master Gardeners provide horticultural information in the community in educational and beautification projects by using the research and resources of the University of Georgia.
