Paulding County extends outdoor burning ban indefinitely
Due to severely dry conditions and extreme fire danger, Paulding County has extended the outdoor burning ban indefinitely.
Exceptional drought conditions have expanded across northwest Georgia with severe to extreme conditions present in other parts of the state.
The National Weather Service issued a High Fire Danger statement again this week with warnings that humidity and rain conditions are unlikely to improve in the long range. Therefore, it is unlikely that the total ban on outdoor burning will be lifted in the foreseeable future. For updated information call 770-505-BURN 24/7.
