Bremen police have arrested a man they believe was responsible for robbing multiple stores at gunpoint.

The suspect, Dante Stark, is wanted by other counties and cities in Georgia.

Bremen police responded to a panic alarm at O’Reilly Auto Parts Store in Bremen where they say Stark, wearing a ski mask, had entered the store and forced the employees into the office at gunpoint.

Police said officers confronted the suspect at which time he pointed the gun at the police. The suspect then fled the building, but police were waiting for him. Officers were able to arrest Stark without any harm.

“He was placed in the jail by the name of Timothy Jones. However, later they found out he gave an alliance name,” said Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jeff Richards. “It was later discovered that his real name was Dante Stark, who is 34 years old.”

Bremen police said Stark is wanted in Douglas and Fulton counties, along with Villa Rica and Tyrone, for armed robbery. Stark is being held in the Carroll County Jail for armed robbery and numerous counts of aggravated assault.

Bremen Police Chief Keith Pesnell commended this he officers for their bravery and success with capturing Stark.
