Mrs. Mary “Faye” Louis, age 77, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 11, 1940, in Opelika, Alabama, the daughter of the late Zack Simpkins and the late Nora Mackey Simpkins.

She was employed by Coca Cola for 16 years and retired from Sony Music after 14 years of service. She was well known by her family and friends for her famous pound cake and for her love of flowers. Her greatest joy in life was her love for her children, and her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband of 58 and a half years, Everett D. Louis; her daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Joe Williamson, Anita and Shane Holt, Janet and David Braswell and Pam and Steve Whitlock, all of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Joe Wegner of Newnan, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Janice Simpkins of Newell, Alabama; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Boyd, Brian Williamson, Stephen Perry, Lara Boyd, Taylor Braswell, Maxwell Whitlock, Caleb Williamson, and Mason Boyd. Her additional grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Ephesus Christian Church Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service.
