The Carrollton Chick-fil-A on Highway 27 had more action Monday than it typically sees around lunch time when a man allegedly punched his sister.

Erich Garrison, 17, of Carrollton, was with his girlfriend and sister at the popular restaurant around 12:30 p.m.

“The sister was allegedly giving her brother a hard time about the way he treats his girlfriend,” said Capt. Shannon Cantrell of the Carrollton Police Department. “He became upset and threw a cup at her then tried to turn the table over. The brother then hit her and walked out of the restaurant.”

Cantrell said the sister called 911 but others may have called in as well to report the behavior because the restaurant is packed full of customers that time of day.

“This is the Chick-fil-A right next to Home Depot so they have a ton of customers,” said Cantrell. “Garrison has been arrested and we charged him with simple battery. He has been taken to Carroll County Jail but no bond has been set at the moment.”
