A Carrollton woman has been charged in Virginia following a single-vehicle accident in which a 6-year-old passenger was killed.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported that Larhonda C. Coleman was driving a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz on Interstate 85 in Virginia on Nov. 17 when she ran off the road and overturned several times.
Anthony Tyrone Coleman Jr., 6, also of Carrollton, was in the back seat and not wearing any child safety restraints, according to the Times-Dispatch. He died at the scene.
Larhonda Coleman and an adult male passenger, who was sitting in the front seat, were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Coleman was charged with reckless driving, failure to secure a child, and failure to wear a seat belt, according to the Times-Dispatch.
