Mrs. Barbara Love Marlow, age 88, of Carrollton, Georgia, died Friday, November 17, 2017.

Mrs. Marlow was born in Whitwell, Tennessee, on January 3, 1929, the daughter of the late Henry Benton Love and Josephine Kelly Love.

She volunteered many years with the Carroll County Soup Kitchen, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Grace Sunday School Class and First Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her work at the church and in the community.

Survivors include her husband, John L. Marlow; son and daughter-in-law, John B. and Tammy Marlow of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter, Betty Jo Roberts of Roswell; grandchildren, Kristen Marlow, Shelbey Marlow, Sarah Marlow; and sister, Mary Jo O’Rear of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Frank Love.

A memorial service will be Saturday, November 25, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. The Grace Sunday School class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Inurnment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
