Mrs. Carrie Farmer, 96, of Carrollton, Ga., formerly of Austell, Ga., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017. She was born Feb. 28, 1921, in Coweta County, Ga., the daughter of the late Sanders Walker Faver and the late Lonie Jackson Faver.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Austell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harris Farmer; a daughter, Gayle Newsom; six sisters, and six brothers.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Barbara Farmer of Carrollton and Alan and Kristi Farmer of Decatur, Ga.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton with Minister Clay Henry officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Derek Farmer, Greg Farmer, Cory Farmer, Matthew Newsom, Wesley Newsom and Donnie Newsom. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
