Gladys Louise Patterson, age 77, of Carrollton passed away Monday, December 25, 2017. She was born May 24, 1940, in Polk County, Georgia, daughter to the late Escar Arlando “E.A.” Hawkins and Annie Ruth Steele Hawkins.

She was a homemaker and also worked at the Western Steer Restaurant as a waitress. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Patterson Sr.; step-mother, Ruby Cleo Taylor Hawkins; brothers, Jesse Eugene Hawkins, Hugh Dois Hawkins, and Billy Edward Hawkins; and sisters, Agnes Reeves, Grace Brannon, and Betty Ann Patterson Carter.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Gene Patterson Jr. “Skip” and his wife, Lisa of Carrollton; son, Jeffrey K. Patterson “Flip” and his wife, Dawn “Dee Dee” of Franklin, Georgia; daughter, Robin Lynn Poor and her husband, Ricky of Carrollton; 10 grandchildren, Jason Poor, Jennifer Poor Garmon, Brandon Patterson, Heather Patterson Young, Dustin Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Seth Patterson, Austin Patterson, Caleb Patterson, and Janea Patterson Tate; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 1 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Bro. Doug New and Jason Poor officiating. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park with the Rev. Kenneth Rooks performing graveside services, and her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
