Mrs. Hazel Boyd Swann, age 81m of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017.

Mrs. Swann was born in Villa Rica, Georgia, on July 6, 1935, the daughter of the late James Boyd and Maggie Ward Boyd. She was a retired LPN from Parkway Regional Hospital where she worked in the ER for 35 years and was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Temple, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Ed Hendrix; grandson and his fiancée, Lonny Whitlock and Jennifer; granddaughter and her husband, Stefany and Fred Williams; grandsons, Josh Lumsden and BJ Lumsden; granddaughter, Nisha Muse and grandson and his wife, Courtney and Lauren Morrow; special cousin, Judy Allen Rodriguez; special niece, Helen Willoughby; multiple great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Swann; daughters, Cynthia Camp and Sheila Camp, and granddaughter, Nikki Lumsden.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 20, 2017, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Don O’shields officiating and a special reading from Lynnette Powell.

Pallbearers will be Brian Powell, Jimmy Miller, Michael Miller, Bobby Swann, Brian Armstrong and Rodney Hendrix.

Interment will follow at Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
