Mr. James Lee Studdard Jr., 74, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017.

Mr. Studdard was born in Atlanta, Ga., on April 7, 1943. He retired after 25 years of service with Goodwill.

He was a resident at Brookdale Living for the past eight years in Carrollton, Georgia, and an active member of the For the People’s Blind Community. Although blind, Mr. Studdard was active in the local Ham Radio club and was one of its “Disaster Radio Operators.” Mr. Studdard was a member of Carrollton First Baptist Church.

Mr. Studdard was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor Acree Studdard, and his father, James L. (Jimmy) Studdard Sr., both of Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Studdard is survived by several cousins living in Conyers, Ga., Atlanta, Ga., and Orlando, Fla.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the funeral hour.

Burial will be Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Smyrna Presbyterian Campground Cemetery.
