Officer David William Head, age 35, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was born in Villa Rica on Thursday, October 9, 1980.

Officer Head was preceded in death by his father, Police Officer Earl William Head; stepmother, J. April Head; grandmother, Mable Cunningham; and grandfather Burdean Culberson.

Survivors include his wife Brandy (Craton) Head; four children, Dylan, Keisha, Jayden, and Logan Head all of Temple; half-sister, Jennifer Head of Buchanan; half-brother, Earl William (Will) Head Jr. of Buchanan; mother and stepfather, Donna (Culberson) Boggs and Mark Boggs of Temple; mother-in-law, Lesa Meeler of Rockmart; father-in-law, Kevin Craton of Dallas; grandmother, Marie Culberson of Villa Rica; three uncles and two aunts, Wayne and Beatrice Lindsey of Villa Rica, Jack Lindsey of Villa Rica, and Billy and Diane Tidwell of Villa Rica; cousins include: Jason Tidwell of Villa Rica and Marie and Josh Karr both of Temple; close friend, Herbie Schleicher of Yorkville; brother-in-law, Keith Craton; sister-in-law, Cassidy Gore, a number of other relatives and many, many friends.

Officer David Head served his community as a Police Officer for the Temple Police Department. He was a loving husband, father, son, and friend that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at The First Baptist Church of Villa Rica on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted at The First Baptist Church of Villa Rica on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 3 p.m. with Reverend Wendell Cooper officiating. Josh Karr and the Temple Police Department will be serving as Pallbearers.

Law Enforcement Funeral Honors and interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica.
