Smithuel Franklin Wyatt (Smitty), 77, of Atlanta passed away April 10, 2018. He was born Aug. 12, 1940, in LaGrange, Georgia, son of the late Luther M. Wyatt and Myrl Griffin Wyatt.

He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and Georgia State University. Most of his career was in the banking industry. He was a member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church and served as a deacon at First Baptist Chamblee for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John Wyatt and Charles Wyatt.

He is survived by his wife Nancy; children, Sarah Wyatt Patterson (Greg) of Dover, Delaware and Elizabeth Wyatt Bennett (Reid) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Wyatt Patterson, Laurel Patterson, Logan Bennett and Alex Bennett; and sisters, Elizabeth Deen (Grady) of Baxley, Georgia, and Katherine Robinson (Thomas) of LaGrange, Georgia.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton with the Rev. Bill Givens officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 14, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
