Mr. “Willis” Jackson Ralls, age 100, of Villa Rica, Georgia, died Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born October 23, 1917, in Carlisle, Kentucky, the son of the late Nathaniel Marion Ralls and the late Mary Elizabeth Reid Ralls.

He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Pacific in WWII, was in the first convoy that drove through East Germany, to relieve Berlin during the Cold War with Russia, and served three tours of duty in Vietnam.

He was a combat engineer and a Master Carpenter, having worked for 10 years with Jenkins & Essex, and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Bethel Clements Ralls; three sisters and five brothers.

He is survived by seven children, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4, at 11 a.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton with Minister Alan Howard officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Ed Nealis, James Radcliff, William Bissette, Scott Hembree, Ethan Hembree and Blake Hembree. Honorary pallbearer will be Don Bissette. Burial with full military honors will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower on Wednesday from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m.
