The Carrollton Christmas Tournament will feature plenty of Black and Gold in the championship rounds on Saturday evening after both the girls' and boys' squads advanced out of the semifinals on Friday night.

The Lady Trojans opened the action with a 78-63 win over Locust Grove behind a 30-point performance from senior post Elexus Bell, setting up a 6 p.m. championship showdown against Valdosta on Saturday.

The Trojans knocked off Troup in the late game Friday for a 62-54 triumph, and they'll match up with Greenville in Saturday's title tilt at 7:30 p.m. on Criswell Court.

Marcellious Lockett led Carrollton with 15 points, followed by Jeffery Hodges with 12.
