There was no rust for the Carrollton High School girls' basketball team in its first game in eight days as the Lady Trojans handled Region 7-AAAAA foe Paulding County with a 51-30 victory on Wednesday.

The Lady Trojans (4-2, 2-1 Region 7-AAAAA) were led on the night by Ansley Barge with 17 points and Erial Daniel with 11.

Carrollton will open the Carrollton Christmas Tournament today at 6 p.m. when it hosts MLK.

In other prep basketball action:

Haralson County girls 65, Ranburne (Ala.) 44: The Rebelettes raced out to the 21-point victory across the state line on Tuesday evening in the final game leading up to next week's tournament.

Tori Causey knocked down five 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 23 points, while Indiya Smith added 14 points, Claire Robinson posted 11 and Alexis Boykin dropped in nine.

The Rebelettes will play host to the 42nd Annual Hilburn-Patterson Haralson County Invitational Tournament next Wednesday through Friday.
