The University of West Georgia men's basketball team returned to the court and the win column on Saturday afternoon, defeating Livingston College in a 93-86 overtime decision at The Coliseum to close out the holiday break.

The Wolves (5-5) received a huge offensive effort from junior guard Paul Turner, who finished with 34 points on 11-of-15 shooting, including a 10-of-12 clip from the free-throw line. Marquill Smith added 22 points for UWG, which returns to Gulf South Conference play on Tuesday at Union in a 9 p.m. tip.

Point University women 67, West Georgia 62: The Wolves (8-3) had their six-game winning streak snapped in the five-point setback on Saturday at The Coliseum.

UWG was led by Kayla Carter with 16 points and five rebounds, while Aysha Harris added 13 points and six boards.

Point (10-3) was paced by a 21-point performance from Alexia Manning, while Raven Brown finished with 17 and Candace Rhodes chipped in 16.

The Wolves also return to GSC action on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. contest at Union.
