Douglasville native and current Louisville standout guard Asia Durr has been named to the Watch List for the women's college basketball Citizen Naismith Player of the Year Trophy.

The list, which was released by the Atlanta Tipoff Club, is for the top 50 players being considered for the prestigious honor.

A list of the midseason 30 team will be released in mid February.

Durr, a junior, is the Cardinals leading scorer this season.

With 115 points through six games, she ranks 58th in the country and her 19.2 points per game rank 62nd.

For her career, she has connected on 183 3-pointers, which ranks seventh on the school's all-time list.

Earlier this season, she set a new program record for most points in a game. Durr scored 47 points, including 13 in overtime, as the Cardinals defeated Ohio State 95-90 in front of 9,711 fans at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The 47 points also represent the most by either a men’s or women’s player in the program’s storied history. It also surpassed the high on the men's side, as Hall of Famer Wes Unseld's record for points in a game is 45.

Prior to the season, Durr was named the preseason All-American by several publications, ACC Preseason Player of the Year, Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List, ACC Player of the Week on Nov. 13 and espnW Player of the Week on Nov. 20.

Durr is joined on the Naismith watch list by teammate Myisha Hines-Allen.
