Harvester Christian Academy, ranked No. 3 in Georgia in 8-man Football by Maxpreps.com, improved to 5-0 with a 63-42 victory over defending state champion Ballard Christian last Friday at Post Road Park. The five game winning streak is the longest for HCA since the 2008 season.

The Hawks scored three touchdowns in a 49 second span early in the fourth quarter to put away the Eagles, and seal the victory.

Harvester’s offense was led once again by senior running backs Raymond Price and Zachary Eichelkraut.

Price went over the 200 yard rushing level for the third time in his career, gaining 207 on 25 carries, including two touchdowns. Eichelkraut was right behind him, gaining 180 yards on 20 carries, and adding three touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Orrie Tobin had a career high three touchdown passes, all in the red zone. He completed 7-of-14 passes for 63 yards, including a crucial 4th-and-7 pass to junior Logan Moss late in the game that covered 24 yards.

Moss led the receivers with three catches for 34 yards and two touchdowns. unior Colyn Miller scored the first TD of the game on a 5-yard reception.

Defensively, Harvester was led by sophomore defensive end Bennett Yerkey (9 tackles, 4 QB pressures, .5 sacks), junior linebacker Caleb Biddy (8 tackles), Eichelkraut (8 tackles, 2 pass defenses) and senior Matthew Slater (6 tackles, .5 sacks).

The undefeated Hawks head back on the road, and take on their most difficult opponent of the year thus far, Crosspointe Christian (5-1) next Friday. Kickoff in McDonough is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
