The Lions of Lithia Springs traveled to Central-Carroll Wednesday evening for a wrestling dual. Lithia struggled with many starters missing, falling to the Lions of Central, 42-23.
Justin Harris and Jordan Harris continued their winning ways with a pair of pin fall victories at 145 and 160-pounds respectively. Jordan Harris picked up a quick pin, beating his opponent in only 80 seconds. David Ratliff also picked up a big win at 220-pounds.
“We put in a great effort but four of our starters are out for Nation Honor Society or Pre-Enlistment appointments with the armed forces,” said LSHS coach David Dalton. “The match is in the past and we’re all eyes forward to the Hiram Invitational on the 30th.”
Dalton reluctantly added that surprises in the line-up could be made for the tourney. He declined to comment any further.
