Hearn signs with Mercer

Landmark Christian School senior Ginny Hearn recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Mercer University Bears in Macon.

A four-time All-Region selection, Hearn, a pitcher, and has been a vital part of the Landmark softball program for the past four years.

Most recently, the Lady War Eagles made it to their third straight Sweet 16 Appearance in the GHSA Softball State Tournament.

Ginny is also a member of the East Cobb Bullets coached by Scott Council, the father of Alexander’s Sydnee Council, and credits both her travel and school ball coaches for helping her grow and develop on and off the softball field.

When asked why she chose Mercer over other scholarship offers, Hearn said, “Mercer has a great academic reputation and softball program”.

Hearn’s mother Heidi Hearn taught in he Douglas County School system for several years.
