Dr. James Donald Duggar Jr., age 70 of Douglasville, Ga., passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 26, 1936, son of the late James Donald Duggar Sr. and Mary Raker Duggar. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kendall Sarvis. He was a native of Crawfordville, Fla. “Doc” attended Florida State University and graduated from Lincoln Chiropractic College in 1961 with honors. He was a chiropractor for 38 years, part of that time practicing in Bainbridge, Ga., for 10 years and in Douglasville, Ga., for 11 years. He was a member of the Georgia Chiropractic Counsel. He was an avid sports fan especially Florida State Football. “Doc” loved Southern Gospel Music and was voted Southern Gospel Music Super Fan in 1990. He was a member of Douglasville First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Duggar; son, James Donald Duggar III; son, David Duggar; son, Michael Duggar and his wife, Stacey; grandchildren, David Duggar Jr., Daniel Duggar, Rachael Duggar, Nicole Duggar, Mark Duggar, Nathan Duggar, James Donald Duggar IV, Justin Duggar; four great-grandchildren; and god-daughter, Jana Layton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. John Pennington and the Rev. Brent Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery.
