Pastor Walter William Holland, affectionately known as Pastor Wally, of Douglasville, Ga., passed away suddenly Feb. 24, 2009.

He was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Hall County, Ga., the son of Ray Holland and Emily Anglin Holland.

He was a wonderful husband, father, “PawPaw,” uncle and friend. He served as pastor of Lighthouse Full Gospel Church and was employed as warehouse manager for Print South and sound manager for Christian Heritage Gospel Group.

Services to be held Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home. The Rev. Neil Williams will have the opening prayer and eulogy. The congregation is invited to share loving memories of his life and ministry. Music to be provided by Jeff Eberhart and Ray McCafferty. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service begins 6 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Holland of Douglasville, Ga,; son, Robbie Washington of Douglasville, Ga; daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Warren (Stephanie ) Johnston of Douglasville, Ga

brothers, Charles Everette Holland of Douglasville, Ga., and Raymond D. Holland of Douglasville, Ga.; six grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Brittany, Thomas, Chastity and Chestley; five great-grandchildren, Brayden, Jay, Olivia, Alyssa and Noel.

The family has requested that all flowers be omitted. Donations in the memory of Pastor Wally can be made to Christian Heritage Gospel Group or Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in care of Diane Holland at 6251 Melrose Drive, Douglasville, Ga. 30134.
