Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 is going to be a night full of celebrations as the Douglas County Chamber holds the 75th Annual Winter Ball presented by WellStar Douglas Hospital. This is the Chamber’s signature event that celebrates outstanding business and community, leaders in Douglas County. This year will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Chamber. The Winter Ball will install Mr. Craig Owens, Senior Vice President and Hospital Administrator of WellStar Douglas Hospital, as Chairman of the Chamber Board.
The Winter Ball is also an opportunity to recognize the Sam P. Roberts Community Service Award, Small Business of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Large Business of the Year, Diplomat of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, and the Chamber Chairman’s Award. The black-tie evening begins with a cocktail reception sponsored by Georgia Power Company and silent auction from 6 — 7 p.m., followed by dinner, the awards program and a silent auction presented by Hawkinson, Muchnick & Associates, P.C. The After Party continues from 9 — 11 p.m. and guests will enjoy live music by The Crystal Clear Band sponsored by RA-LIN & Associates, Inc.
Chamber President and CEO, Sara Ray, commented, “This event is always one of our favorites to host as it allows us the opportunity to honor the wonderful community leaders and businesses that help make Douglas County thrive.”
